_UTME candidates with 195 and above eligible for exercise_
The Lagos State University (LASU) has activated its Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVC) portal for the 2026/2027 admission session for candidates of Lagos State origin seeking admission into the institution. The exercise, according to the university, began on Monday, April 27, 2026, and will run until Friday, May 22, 2026.
The university stated that only candidates who chose LASU as first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 195 and above are eligible for the exercise. However, the management clarified that participation in the verification exercise does not serve as proof or guarantee of admission into the university.
According to the schedule released, the screening exercise will hold in four phases across designated centres in Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos and Epe divisions. The university also noted that Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State origin are required to participate, while previous applicants from the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 sessions who are yet to secure admission can revalidate their clearance certificates online.
LASU advised all eligible candidates to complete registration through the official university portal and warned applicants against making payments through unauthorized channels. The institution emphasized that only candidates cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) will be considered for admission.
