The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will hold its 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions on May 11, 2026, in Abuja.

The board disclosed that the meeting will take place at the Body of Benchers Auditorium, Jabi, and will feature the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, who is expected to unveil key policy directions for the admission process.

JAMB explained that the annual policy meeting is a crucial gathering where stakeholders decide on minimum UTME scores, admission guidelines, and other policies for tertiary institutions. The meeting will also set the tone for the 2026/2027 admission exercise.

According to the board, the event will be attended by Vice-Chancellors, Rectors, Provosts, Registrars, and regulatory bodies, while goodwill messages are expected from agencies such as NELFUND and NYSC.

The meeting will also feature the 6th edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards (NATAP-M).
