UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN STUDENTS' UNION DISOWNS FAKE POST-UTME SCREENING NOTICE

The University of Ibadan Students' Union (UISU) has issued a public disclaimer regarding a fake Post-UTME screening notice currently circulating online.

In a statement dated 9th June, 2026, the Students' Union revealed that the fraudulent message falsely invites underage candidates to participate in a purported Post-UTME screening exercise scheduled for 16th June, 2026, while requesting payments of ₦2,000 as a screening fee and ₦3,000 as a portal access fee.

The Union clarified that the notice did not originate from the University of Ibadan or any officially authorized body and urged prospective candidates, parents, guardians, and members of the public to disregard the information in its entirety.

Candidates have been strongly advised not to make any payments or take action based on unverified information circulating on social media or messaging platforms.

The Union emphasized that all authentic admission-related announcements and screening information will be communicated through the University's official channels.

Furthermore, the Students' Union encouraged the public to verify information before sharing it and to remain vigilant against individuals seeking to defraud prospective students and their families.

Prospective candidates are therefore advised to rely solely on official communications from the University of Ibadan regarding admission and Post-UTME screening activities.
